We have chosen this hotel in that it is rather unique in its ability to turn 5 indoor tennis courts into a top class Conference and Entertainment venue capable of seating up to 1500 people in a flexible seating and layout configuration.
The Convention hotel itself is where our current and Incoming Council of Governors plus International Guests will be staying along with your Host Committee who are all going to be resident during the period of Convention. There are many other hotels within a short distance of the convention hotel. The hotel has space for 200 cars plus access to an overflow car park in the council offices opposite (only available after close of business day on Friday but available all day Saturday and Sunday). Marshals will be monitoring the hotel car park and will be ready to redirect you if the hotel car park fills up. Coach drop off points at the convention hotel are available if your District is bringing a coach down; coach parking may also be available by prior notification to the Host Committee.
We think we have procured a wide choice of rooms and prices in other nearby hotels – 135 in total -and it is up to the discretion of the individual hotels if they wish to extend that number block booked at the moment so the simple message is to book as early as possible to secure the rate and hotel of your choice.
Basingstoke is just off the M3 Junction 6 but is also easily accessible from M4 Junction 11 and A33. It has a main line station used by Main line services from both London and the South West also Cross Country trains from many parts of the country. It is also served by many National Express services.
